CrestWatt places electrical site supervisors and QA engineers on client sites to inspect, witness and record subcontractor works against specification. The engineer reports to the client’s electrical site manager and maintains an independent record of every inspection and test.

## Scope

- Field inspection of earthing, DC and AC cabling, inverters, LV distribution and transformer stations against drawings, specification and OEM requirements
- Witness of subcontractor tests, with independent verification where required
- Structured digital inspection records on standard checklists, completed on site on the day
- Daily defect and observation reporting
- Weekly progress and quality reporting against programme
- Readiness for energisation assessment and support to the commissioning lead
- Interface with the DNO and ICP on witness points and adoption inspections

## Boundaries

Supervisors inspect, witness and record. They do not direct the subcontractor’s workforce and do not carry out HV switching unless separately contracted and authorised. The separation preserves the independence of the record.

## Commercial basis

Monthly all-inclusive rate covering engineer time, accommodation, travel and expenses, pro rata for partial months. Typical engagements run eight to sixteen weeks through installation and commissioning.
